教學目標:
1、知識目標:能熟練掌握"How tall are you? I'm__metres tall."以及比較級taller,shorter,補充內容最高級tallest,shortest.
2、技能目標:能夠對有關身高的問題進行問答和能與他人合作完成任務,提高合作能力和分析能力。
3、情感目標:將本課與學生生活緊密聯(lián)系,增強學生對英語的興趣。并教育學生要有健康的體魄,養(yǎng)成良好的生活習慣。
重點難點:
能靈活運用"How tall are you?"并能準確用I'm__metres tall.回答, 區(qū)分運用tall and taller,short and shorter. 會用I`m taller than___ ,____is the tallest 造句。
教學方法:
談話法、任務型教學法、全身反應法、情境教學法。
教具準備:
多媒體課件、單詞卡等
教學過程:
Step1:Warm-up:
1:Greeting
Song T:Hello! How are you?
S:I am fine. Thank you.
T:How is the weather?
S:It is ___today.
【設計意圖】消除學生緊張心理,讓學生很快進入學習狀態(tài)。
2: Free Talk
出示課件:(姚明)
T:What is his name? Do you know? Can you tell me something about him? In Chinese is OK.
(教師用雙語予以補充,介紹姚明為國家爭奪了很多榮譽,滲透德育,培養(yǎng)孩子們從小培養(yǎng)樹立為國為班爭光的意識,增強集體榮譽感。) And then ask o you have any another questions?
S:How old is he?/When is his birthday?/Is he very very tall?......
T:Yes,he is very tall.How tall is he?
【設計意圖】創(chuàng)設情境,激發(fā)學生好奇心,積極性并為以下教學作鋪墊。
Step2: Presentation:
1. Teaching new words and phrases
。ㄓ蒆ow old is he?引出How tall is he?)Can you guess the meaning?
T:He is ___metres tall.(Practise the pronunction of "point"and "metre".)
T: Is he short or tall?
S:He is tall.
出示另一張圖片(矮人)
T:Is he short or tall?
S:He is very short.
T:Can you guess how old he is?
S:Guess……
T:He is fifty -five years old. He has some illness, so he can not be as tall as us. Do you want to be as short as him?
S:No.
T:So you must eat enough food such as vegetables and fruit and so on,then you can have a healthy body.
【設計意圖】教師不需要作解釋,借助圖片和語言學生就能夠明白新單詞的意思,并且滲透德育教育,豐富課堂內容。
2. Listen to the tape.
The first time, just listen and think about how tall Jenny is and how tall Jim is.
