　　What about compound eyes? That’s to say there are many small eyes in one big eye. Do you know bees make honey and only female mosquitoes bite people?

　　Insects live all over the world. They are found in every kind of place except the ocean. The goliath beetle of Africa weighs three times more than a mouse. It is the heaviest insect in the world.

　　六、教法建議：

　　一）詞匯教學方法

　　在單詞上，為了便于學生的理解于記憶，可以將：fly, dragonfly, butterfly，放在一起教學。同時在學習昆蟲的名稱時，教師可以做點課前準備，了解一些有關昆蟲知

　　識，要求學生能通過回答問題來簡單的描述各種昆蟲。

　　Say a passage according to the questions:

　　How many insects are there in the world?

　　What’s your favorite insect?

　　What colour are they?

　　What have they got?

　　Are they big or small, rough or soft?

　　What do they like to eat?

　　Where do they live?

　　二）句型教學方法

　　Farmland中的重點句型是：…like to eat …

　　此句型對學生而言并不是難點，因此教師在教學時，可以結合Unit 11中的Wonderland & Farmland中的詞匯，創(chuàng)設情景，拓展此句型的多種表達方法。如： …like to do…/…like doing…, …don’t/doesn’t like to do… Do/Does …like to do…?, What do/does … like to do?

　　What do Europeans/Thai like to eat?

　　What do you like to do in English class?

　　三）課文教學方法

　　Grand Theatre中的對話主要是圍繞Butterfly展開的，所以在引入課文前，可給學生一個主題讓學生自由討論，如：How is the butterfly? What has it got? What can they

　　do?

　　Do you like the butterflies? Why? 隨后通過觀察蝴蝶標本，了解一些蝴蝶的生活特性。通過交流、制作標本或蝴蝶風箏來檢驗學習效果，增添學習的知識性于趣味性。
