1)教師可談話引出Farmland中的小對話。
Tommy, Sue and Norman are going to have a Christmas party. Listen, what are they talking about?
然后讓學(xué)生聽、仿說Farmland中的小對話,并用Farmland中給出的7個詞匯模仿創(chuàng)編出新的小對話進(jìn)行角色表演。在替換練習(xí),表演小對話的過程中掌握本單元的基本句型:表達(dá)需求的句子We need… 及其提問What do you need?
2)由于該基本句型在以前的幾冊教材中都出現(xiàn)過,學(xué)生較易掌握,因此建議教師可根據(jù)語言功能對句型進(jìn)行擴(kuò)充。教師可用媒體或圖片創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,從中引出表達(dá)需求的不同句型:
I need …
Give …, please.
…, please.
I’d like …
I want …
Narrator: Norman, Tim, Sue, Sandy, Julia and Peter are going autumn outing next week. They’ve got a lot of food in Mr White’s bag.
Tim: I’m thirsty. Give me some orange juice, please.
Mr White: OK, here you are.
Norman: I’m thirsty, too. Give me a Coke, please.
Mr White: OK, here you are.
Sandy: I’m hungry. A hamburger, please.
Mr White: OK, here you are.
Julia: I’m hungry, too. I’d like some bread.
Mr White: OK, here you are.
Peter: I’m thirsty and hungry. I need some water and a cake.
Mr White: OK, here you are.
Sue: I’m thirsty and hungry, too. I want an apple and a pie, please.
Mr White: There is only an apple pie!
畫面與對話相配合。
教師可讓學(xué)生反復(fù)聽幾遍對話。第一遍,只出現(xiàn)畫面,不出現(xiàn)文字; 第二遍,出現(xiàn)對話的文字,主要句型用紅色標(biāo)注; 第三遍,教師可在觀看對話的過程中引導(dǎo)學(xué)生仿說; 第四遍,教師可在對話放到主要句型時,適時地將對話的音量調(diào)小,讓學(xué)生配音,了解學(xué)生對主要句型的習(xí)得情況。
讓學(xué)生在聽、仿說中逐步習(xí)得表示需求的多種表達(dá)方式。
對于四年級的學(xué)生,教師還可幫助學(xué)生掌握該句型的第三人稱單數(shù)形式。教師可先讓學(xué)生根據(jù)剛才的對話完成表格:

然后可給出學(xué)生model, 讓學(xué)生模仿例句完成句子。

5) 隨后,教師可讓學(xué)生完成Project 1 Making a Shopping List
6)最后教師可讓學(xué)生根據(jù)現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中的情境,整合已有的語言知識,自由創(chuàng)編和表演對話,讓學(xué)生在盡可能生活化的語境中運(yùn)用語言知識。例如,教師可創(chuàng)設(shè)Birthday Party的情景。
二)課文教學(xué)方法
教師可在Warming-up中讓學(xué)生朗讀Disneyland中的兒歌Hot Grey Peas, 然后自然引出下面的話題討論。
What are they doing?
What are they eating for the picnic?
教師可先通過Language Lab中On your own中的問題讓學(xué)生圍繞著裝展開話題討論。
Do you like picnics?
Where would you like to have a picnic?
What do you need for your picnic?
Have you got enough money for your picnic?
在話題討論中,教師可引出課文中的新句子What else?
接著教師可從話題討論中自然引出課文。Children will have a picnic. What do they need? Have they got enough money for their picnic? Let’s listen.
聽完課文錄音后,教師可通過讓學(xué)生回答Language Lab的Questions and answers中的問題來了解學(xué)生對課文內(nèi)容的理解程度。
