　　Unit 10 Where Are You Going on Holiday?

　　I. Objectives

　　1. Work with language 1

　　2. Vocabulary: half, past, half past seven, quarter, a quarter to ten,

　　3. Can talk about the time in two ways.

　　II. Procedures

　　1. Revision

　　(1) Game: Look and write the numbers. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 20, 25,13, 30, 35, 45, 55

　　(2) Game: What time is it? （電腦呈現(xiàn)）

　　It’s three o’clock/ eight fifteen/ eleven thirty/ twelve forty-five/ two fifty.

　　2. Presentation

　　(1) What time is it?

　　It’s two ten.

　　=It’s ten past two. (除了時、分的表達，還有分、時的時間表達法)

　　(2) Explain : past （時針在30分之前用past）

　　3. Practise:

　　What time is it? It’s five past three/ twenty past eight/ twenty-five past twelve.

　　4. Present: What time is it? (7.15　 11.30)

　　It’s a quarter past seven/ half past eleven.

　　Explain: quarter , half

　　5. Guessing game: What time is it? 8.05 3.10　 7.15　 4.20　 9.25　 12.30　 6.45

　　It’s a quarter to seven. (時針過了30分鐘后，用to，表示差15分到7點)

　　6. Practise in pairs:

　　10.35 twenty-five to eleven　　 1.50 ten to two

　　3.55 five to four

　　7. Game: match the time and the clocks

　　8. Work with language: Read and draw the hands of the clocks.

　　9. Ask some students to draw the hands of the clocks on the blackboard.

　　Homework:

　　1. Read the time with your classmates.

　　2. Activity book P45 Ex.1

　　3. Vocabulary: travel, by, train, underground,

　　4. Language focus: How would you like to travel? I’d like to travel by plane.

　　1. Revision

　　(1) Game: Look at the clock at tell the time as soon as possible.

　　(2) Game: Listen and draw the hands of the clocks.
