多媒體課件、錄音機、單詞卡片、圖片、大的海報六張
教學過程:
Step1: Warm up
Sing a song. ABC song[可以活躍課堂氣氛,復習字母讀音]
Shoostep2: Review
1. look at the picture and read the letters: A、 E、 I、 O. Ce the letters and read the words in groups.[復習A、E 、I 、O四個元音字母在單詞中的讀音,說規(guī)律為新課做鋪墊]
2. Show the words in class.[小組匯報時根據(jù)學生說的情況,給小組加分,增加競爭,培養(yǎng)學生競爭意識].
Step3: Leading into new lessons.
We have five vowel letters. What are they? Ss: A E I O U. T: Which letter is missing? Ss: U. T: Today let's learn Letter U's sounds in the different words. First let's listen to the story and find out which words including letter U?
Step4: New lessons
1. listen to the story .[附加故事內(nèi)容如下]
Mocky and a butterfly are good friends. On June 1st, the butterfly invited Mocky to visit her house. In the living-room, Mocky saw a blue table, there are some nuts, a beautiful mug, a puppet and a flute on it. He likes the puppet and the flute very much, so he picked up the puppet to play with the butterfly and blew the flute, then the butterfly danced with the music. They have a good time. When Mocky went home, it was raining, so the butterfly gave him a beautiful umbrella.

2. Have the children say the words what they heard just now and the teacher will write them on the blackboard. umbrella puppet nut butterfly blue...[檢查學生聽故事的情況,能培養(yǎng)學生認真聽的好習慣。]
3. Look at the pictures and find which words you didn't hear. Do you know how to read the words. Now let's listen to the story again. 4. Say the chant.[學生喜歡節(jié)奏感強的小詩,所以我就把幾個新詞編成chant的形式讓學生唱出來,既操練的新單詞,又增加的英語學習的趣味性]

5. listen and find the difference of the words.[通過聽的方法讓學生找出兩組單詞中的字母U的不同發(fā)音,能培養(yǎng)學生認真聽的習慣和仔細觀察的能力]
6. listen for U. First, have them listen and point the words, second, have them listen and cross.[檢查學生是否真正理解了元音字母U在單詞中的不同發(fā)音,并能在四個單詞中選出來一個與其他三個發(fā)音不同的單詞。]
7. You can read the words and find out the different sounds words, Are you happy? Ss: yes, we are very happy. T: but mocky isn’t happy. Why? Do you know? Because he wants to go to the butterfly’s house and give back the umbrella to her, but Uncle Booky have him read the words, he can’t read them. Can you help him? [利用故事過渡,自然流暢,還能對學生進行幫助他人的思想道德教育的滲透,達到潤無細無聲的效果]
8. Read with Uncle Booky. First, have them read the words in groups. second, listen and repeat. Third, have them observe the words and find the rule of the letter"U" sounding in the different words.[通過讓學生幫助MOCKY讀單詞的方法認讀單詞,使學生成為了故事中不可缺少的角色,學生就有成功感和榮譽感,從而更加喜歡英語。同時讓學生認讀單詞、觀察單詞結(jié)尾,引導學生發(fā)現(xiàn)規(guī)律,總結(jié)規(guī)律,能培養(yǎng)學生觀察能力和總結(jié)歸納能力]
Step4: Practice
1.Give them some new words and have them try to read the words:

[給學生一些符合發(fā)音規(guī)則的單詞讓學生運用剛才自己總結(jié)歸納的規(guī)律認讀新單詞,并把他們認讀對的單詞卡發(fā)給他,使學生能夠?qū)W以至用,嘗到學習的快樂,收獲成功的喜悅,從而產(chǎn)生強烈的求知欲,更愿積極參與英語課堂教學。]
2. Circle the word with the same sound
